Another set of nights is over. I am defiantly feeling the benefits of Isagenixs. Of course I am tired from the night shifts but I am not feeling the body aches and exhaustion I was feeling before. I am sleeping better. Last night was my night to shift back into sleeping nights, usually I would take a zoplicone but I took the sleep spray, an hour later I was tired but not falling asleep so I took another small spray..... I fell asleep quickly after that! Asleep around 1130pm and slept till 730am.
Today we start the vitamins plus product B. Excited to see if this adds to the energy and helps with the sleep :-)

week 3
Wow, last night I came home after my day shift with an abundance of energy! First I thought I'd never get to sleep because I felt I had so much energy. But I took a spray of the sleep aide at 10, went to bed at 1030 and I know I was asleep before 11. I am feeling great! And so is my husband.
I have been a little skeptical about this product but the results are getting harder to ignore.
The one issue we still struggle with is the deep cleanse day. For my husband, who is not doing an intense workout schedule right now, it is great. He feels good and can manage the deep cleanse days fine. But for me, working out 6 days a week, the deep cleanse days are hard and I don't feel good at the end of that day or the beginning of the next day. The second day I feel bloated, kinda like my body wants to store after the cleanse day.
With everything I have read and learned about exercise and weight lifting, not eating is never a plan. I am having difficulty wrapping my head around this idea. I have spoken to others on isagenix and they are suggesting I increase my intake on shake days and that its not the deep cleanse days that are the issue. I'm going to do a little more research as I am still not convinced that doing the deep cleanse day is a good plan to get the body I want.
We have just ordered the isaganix essential vitamin packs with product B. I am looking forward to see if we feel even more of a change with them added to our daily plan. Hopefully they arrive by the weeks end!

Deep Cleanse #2
Deep cleanse #2 is done. I found it easier this time around. I didn't get really hungry till the end of the day. I was working this time around and keeping busy definitely helped keep my mind off eating. I found I had enough energy for work as well. I had a fairly steady day and it ended with a bang. I needed to find energy and strength to get through the end of the day.... I was worried I would feel weak, but I felt as good as I do anytime I need to find that energy.
I also find that I am feeling better. It's hard to explain but it's an inner feeling of balance. My husband tried to explain to me last week and now I finally understand. I am still yawning throughout the day. I don't feel exhausted but am tired. On my cleanse day I find I go through hot/cold flashes, I sum it up to no carbs and flushing/cleansing the system.
At the end of my day I found I was very hungry. I came home from work and had my last cleanse for life (CFL), which I was suppose to have at 7pm but because we got to busy. I had to wait till after work. I also had an isadelight. But no affect, still hungry. Didn't help that my husband was also hungry and had lost all his willpower and would not stop talking about food! But we held strong and didn't eat. However, I found I had a hard time falling asleep. My stomach was grumbling and my brain was telling me to eat. I tired hard to ignore it but it wasn't easy and sleep didn't come till after 1130pm. We were in bed by 930pm.
My plan was to sleep in till 8am this morning but when my husband woke up at 530am for work. I struggled to fall back asleep. My stomach was still grumbling and then my head started thinking about the day and if I'd have enough energy for my work out. I finally gave in and got up at 630am and had my ionix supreme. Then at 7am I had my shake and rested in bed watching TV. At 730am, once my tummy was full again, I could feel myself getting sleepy again. I have my workout at 10am and need to work at 1130am, so I knew I need to get up and going before I fell back asleep if I wanted to get everything done this morning!
I was still hungry so I made myself whole grain toast with natural peanut butter and banana. Right before I eat I felt sick to my stomach, I have to say I am still not convinced that a deep cleanse is a good idea for someone body building. It goes against everything I have researched and learned about nutrition, exercise and weight lifting.
I have reached out for support and information from the isagenix community. So far I have been told that I am not eating enough on my shake days for body building. That I need to increase my calories, carbs and protein. I plan to do more research into this subject to find the best solution for me and my family.
At this time we are impressed with the inner feeling we have with Isagenixs. Feeling balanced and healthy. I am starting to sleep better, I am not using any medication just the isagenix sleep spray and am falling asleep with only one spray (you can have 1-3 sprays). I am very interested in the vitamin products and Product B, so will be adding this to our routine. Hopefully we receive these before the weeks end. 2 weeks finished, week 3 begins :-)

end of week 2
Almost at the end of week 2 and cleanse day 2 is quickly approaching! I was really hoping to have this burst of energy this week but instead I have been tired. I am not hungry, I find the isagenix product satisfying in taste and appetite.
I have been working out hard with my trainer body building all week and I did a hot yoga class on my off day. Thursday I was very tired and burnt out! I contacted my isagenix coach and let her know. She reminded me about the isagenix orange drink the is an energy booster and the e+shots. I had tried the e+shots before and found them very sweet. She suggested having it on ice or add a little water. But the orange drink is tasty! very refreshing!
So week 2 almost done ..... not feeling any burst of energy, sleep hasn't changed a lot, still tired in the day. So feeling about the same.
My husband however is feeling a higher energy, his sleep has always been good and he says "he feels balanced" his appetite is good, never starving for food, less cravings for 'bad' foods (me too), and feeling on track.

Cleanse day 1
Ok it's the end of our first cleanse day.... it wasn't easy. I wanted to quit around lunch but my hubby pulled me through, Then he wanted to quit at dinner, I got him through. I figured we had made it that long, why waste a day of not eating just to quit at the end! No way, I was finishing!!
So the day consisted of "cleanse for life" drink that taste like juice.... not too sweet. You have the ionix drink, take the accelerators and 'snacks' through the day. Plus drink a ton of water and pee your brains out! We had a 'delight' around dinner to help and a herbal tea.
At the beginning of the day I was moderately hungry but by noon I was starving, had a mild headache, felt weak and a little nauseated. However this did pass. By the evening I was feeling better, still hungry but better. I am sooooo looking forward to my shake in the AM!
So all in all not an easy day but manageable. Kept ourselves busy getting easy-to-do things done around the house. We had no energy for anything too strenuous. By keeping busy it kept our mind off of food. First cleanse day down, 3 more to go!

end of night shifts..
Well that's it I'm finally done my crazy set of 2 days and 4 nights. It was hard trying to organize the isagenix routine while working night shift, but I managed. My shifts are 12 hours, I would use the Isagenixs normally in the day, go into my nights and have a snack around midnight and then take my flush. No more eating till morning. Before bed I would eat a healthy meal and sleep. Then wake, take the ionixs, have a shake (usually late afternoon), then eat my dinner (around 6-6:30) before leaving for work. A snack at midnight and so forth....
I do feel pretty good. Usually after nights my body aches and I am exhausted. I have no aches and am tired but not exhausted. I still didn't get the best sleep in the day but I did feel better then I usually do. Most times 2 night shifts are hard to manage and I felt I handled these 4 night shifts well. Probably better then I have. I was able to sleep 5 hours in the day, waking about 2 times.
Now I am looking forward to seeing how this feels on a regular schedule. I have started my weight training/body building again. One week down :-) I feel I have enough energy to complete my workouts. And add a protein shake after every body building work out for muscle growth.
My husband, Ray, has also been doing this cleanse, It has been 5 days for him and at day 3 he really felt a difference. He says he has more energy. He has also quite smoking. He is always hungry when he arrives home from work. It is essential to have dinner at 5-6pm because we are hungry and ready!
We are both anxious about the cleanse day sunday, but so far happy with the results we are feeling :-)

Day 1
Day one has started. A little different then most because I am working my night shifts, so I did things a little backwards this morning. Had my chocolate shake at work, brought my shaker, added cold water, shook and drank..... barf! It was bland, slimy and thick. Not what I expected but I chocked it back.
I was told to make sure next time to blend it with ice.... hum. I took my flush and hit the bed. Sleep time. I took the sleep aid spray and my zoplicone. I was worried I may not sleep and because I am doing 4 night this week I need some sleep. I fell asleep pretty fast around 9am, woke up at 10:30 peed, fell back asleep till 12, then fell asleep again woke up every hour till 3:30. Then I rested in bed till 4.
Got up and had my ionixs supreme in hot water, was great tasting. Then rested in bed till 5 watching TV. Then got up and had a vanilla shake, mixed with ice, water in blender.... much better. Not an overpowering vanilla taste but easy to drink back. Ice made a lot of difference! Had my accelerator and have drank 2 glasses of water. Right now I have a major headache. Is it lack of caffine? Not sure, I think I usually woke with a headache after nights. 2 Tylenol might be in order!
Now I'm off to another night shift. My plan is to have my healthy meal at work.... snack on my way to work and another snack in the am before I leave work. I'll make a shake with ice when I get home before bed.
Day1 almost done... didn't start well but once I figured the proper shake method, the day has turned out not bad :-)

work days - pre isagenixs
Well my 2 day shifts are done and I am about to start my nights. On my day shifts I found that I was tired, yawned a lot. At about 3pm I hit the normal low, exhausted, low energy, heavy eyes.... Just wanting the days to end.
My first day shift I was very hungry... eat 3 snacks(yogurt, cheese, nut mix, plums), lunch(turkey sandwich, cherries) and dinner (Salmon, roast potatoe, salad), had 2L water. Then we received a gift of bakery goodies.... I enjoyed a chocolate tart and 1/2 sugar donut :-(
My second day I wasn't as hungry... eat 2 snacks(yogurt, nut mix), lunch (egg sandwich, plums), dinner(WW bun with natural PB and banana), had 1.5L water. Another gift of rocky mountain chocolates.... ya I had 3!
Both days I came home, took the dogs (we are watching our friends dog too) for a walk, then relaxed with a wine, watched TV and then bed before 10:30. Each night I was exhausted, my seasonal allergies are at a high! Congested head, headache, blocked sinuses, sore eyes..... real fun! So when I went to bed I took a benedryl..... for my allergies and for sleep. I slept each night 7 hours and woke up 2 times. When I woke in the morning a was tired and felt I lacked energy.
I have not gone to the gym for both these days. I have not felt motivated to go and my energy has been low.
Today we prepare for the 30 day Isagenix Prolean cleanse. We will take measurements, plan our 30 days and workouts.

pre-isagenixs
I received my Isagenixs products today. I decided to do the 30 day cleanse. I know sounds scary, but no you don't starve for 30 days! Its a scheduled diet with protein shakes and healthy diet and once a week doing a cleanse day... yes there's barely any eating on this day. I have talked my wonderful hubby into joining me on this adventure. We have decided to make our start day Monday, Aug. 12 and our cleanse day sunday. We're anxious to see the results!
Prior to this I have been working out with my trainer John, at Club Fitness. I have been working out steady for 1 year. I have always been very active, on/off with the gym, hiking, snowboarding, biking, walks, yoga. But this last year I was focused to get into better shape, lose some weight and try to fix my poor sleep habits. I am getting into great shape. I lost 28lbs, went down 2 sizes. But unfortunately my sleep hasn't changed. I still sleep poorly, waking 2-3 times a night and only getting about 4-6 hours a night and only 3-4 hours in the day when working nights..... leading to exhaustion!
I have a pretty healthy diet. About 1 month ago we decided to eliminate many "toxins" from our diet. Things like artificial sugars and colors, EDTA, fructose, glucose, vanillin.... ect. We eat a balanced diet, keep away from most processed foods, fast food and pop. However we haven't learned to curb my love for wine and my hubby loves his beer :-) Moderation is the key! We also enjoy coffee every morning.
Reading about Isagenix I learned that it is used to lose weight and create a healthy lifestyle. My focus is the healthy lifestyle. I am not longer "trying" to lose weight. I am happy where I am but I am looking to be healthy with a balanced, healthy diet and exercise. Recently I have decided to start weight training with my trainer. It is very exciting, I have never worked out like this before. In the past I have always done full body weight training, cardio and strength training classes. Now I am breaking my body parts down and am body building. I am not trying to get big and freaky.... I just would like to have well defined muscles. I started 3 weeks ago and feel strong and confident. I love the transformation so far and look forward to what's coming. However it is a commitment to go to the gym. I am not busting with energy, I go after working 12 hrs. Usually I am exhausted but force myself to go, always feeling good after the workout is done. I also try to fit hot yoga in weekly for a strength and sweat!
Now I am hoping that Isagenixs will help me get a well rested, uninterrupted sleep. I want more energy and a balanced feeling. My experience starts tomorrow... as I return to work. I will have 3 days before starting Isagenixs to catalog my daily habits, then Monday it's Isagenixs time!
